The 150th anniversary of Sir J.M. Barrie’s birth will be celebrated in style across the world throughout 2010. The Scottish author and dramatist James M. Barrie (1860-1937), best known for his character Peter Pan, was born on May 9th 1860 in Kirriemuir, Angus and it is there in the Little Red Town that the festival Barrie 2010: A Celebration Of Imagination will run for two weeks from 7th -23rd May this year.

In a tribute to the town’s most famous son, Kirriemuir Heritage Trust has put together a fortnight of events designed to appeal to children and adults of all ages and tastes. This is a great opportunity to join in the celebrations.
